1. Information we collect

You provide:

• Account: Name, email, phone, password (stored as a secure hash only).
• Delivery: Addresses, map coordinates, labels, instructions.
• Orders & subscriptions: Items, preferences, payment status, meal plans.
• Optional MPIN: Stored on your device only, not on our servers.

Collected automatically:

• Device type, OS, app version
• Auth tokens (secure storage) and Expo push token if you allow notifications
• Location (with permission, foreground only): Customers — nearest outlet and delivery pin. Riders — GPS during active delivery (~every 8–12s) for live tracking.
• Payments: Processed by Cashfree; we do not store card/UPI details.
• Menu assistant: Chat messages sent to our server for catalog-based suggestions (usable without sign-in).

2. How we use information

• Process orders and meal subscriptions
• Match you to the nearest kitchen outlet
• Arrange preparation and delivery (share address/contact with kitchen and riders)
• Send order push notifications and show live tracking maps
• Prevent fraud and improve support
• Comply with law

3. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share with kitchen partners, delivery riders, Cashfree (payments), cloud hosting (e.g. Azure), push infrastructure, map providers, and authorities when required by law.

4. Permissions

• Location — outlet selection, delivery address, tracking maps (foreground)
• Notifications — order updates

We do not request camera or microphone access in the app.

5. Retention & security

We retain data as needed for services and legal obligations. HTTPS and secure device storage protect tokens. Request deletion via Account deletion.

6. Children

Veggit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date will change when we do.
